Busy. Busy. Busy.

I never thought that publishing a book would be easy, but I never thought it would be this hard.

My new book (my first book) “A Lifetime” is still in production and should be available soon, but there’s a lot of work to do beforehand. Publishing is a very rewarding experience (I’m sure) but there is a lot of stressful and often tedious work that goes into it.

Did any writers out there have an easier, stress-less experience when publishing their first book?

And whilst I’m on the subject, I’m looking for reviewers for “A Lifetime” and have a number of copies (ebook and print) to give away to anyone who is interested. So, please get in touch if you are! You can email me at MorrisFenris (at) gmail (dot) com.

Congratulations on having your book published!

I am not a published author but I did work in a literary agency for a while and you should know that the hard work never stops. It doesn’t get easier with every book that’s out there. Some authors actually find it harder because they now have a body of their own work to be compared to and they have to live up to their own standards.

Having said that, I also know that the joy of having your book printed and getting your first copy makes it worth the effort. And when people appreciate your work and have good, constructive feedback, it makes the process of forcing yourself to edit mercilessly, a whole lot easier.

I wish you the best of luck for your new book.

  2. I haven’t had the experience of publishing a book and can only imagine the hoops one must go through. As an educational specialist, I have written literacy curriculum based upon university research grants for early childhood education. The politics within seems to be my greatest challenge; for when research comes to life within the classroom, numbers become more important than the children themselves. Despite these hoops, I jump through gracefully and know that in the somehow, somewhere, I will make a difference in someone’s life.

Congratulations and much peace and light to your heart…

I am also working on my first book.. I thought I can publish it by end of August but still I am in production.. so many reviews.. (English is my second language). I don’t know how long it will take?.. its a hard work than writing.

  4. I’ve completed two novels. And yes it’s hard working on the publishing and none too pleasant. Good luck.
